บริษัทรถเช่าส่วนใหญ่ ไม่รับเงินสด สำหรับวงเงินประกันความเสียหาย
ต้องเป็นบัตรเครดิตแบบมีชื่อ-นามสกุล ตรงกับชื่อผู้เช่าหลัก บนสัญญา
ต้องมีวงเงินคงเหลือเพียงพอสำหรับการรูด “กันสำรองจ่าย” (Security Deposit) ซึ่งโดยทั่วไปอยู่ระหว่าง 3,000 – 10,000 บาท (รถหรูหรือ SUV ขนาดใหญ่อาจสูงถึง 20,000 บาท) วงเงินนี้จะถูกบล็อกไว้และคืนกลับเข้าบัตรภายใน 7–14 วันทำการหลังส่งคืนรถ

Unlimited Mileage vs Limited Mileage: ส่วนใหญ่บริษัทรถเช่าในไทยจะให้ระยะทางไม่จำกัด (Unlimited Mileage) แต่หากไปเช่าต่างประเทศ อาจมีข้อจำกัด เช่น ไม่เกิน 200 กม./วัน หากขับเกินจะถูกคิดเงินเพิ่มตามจริงเป็นกิโลเมตร

ตั้งสติและโทรแจ้งบริษัทรถเช่าทันทีผ่านสายด่วน (Hotline)
โทรแจ้งบริษัทประกันภัยตามหมายเลขที่ติดไว้บนหน้ากระจกหรือในสัญญา
ถ่ายรูปสถานที่เกิดเหตุ ทะเบียนรถคู่กรณี และตำแหน่งการชนไว้ทุกมุม
หากเป็นอุบัติเหตุหนัก ให้เรียกตำรวจเพื่อขอใบบันทึกประจำวันไว้เป็นหลักฐาน
วางแผนเวลาคืนรถ:
เผื่อเวลาเดินทาง คืนรถ และเวลาในการสแกนตรวจสภาพรถคืนอย่างน้อย 30–45 นาที
